Exhibition "Załoga. The art of Ukraine during the War"

Category:

The suffering experienced by Ukrainian cities has made it clear that a country is about people, not buildings. If people are alive, they will be able to rebuild the walls, restore life and home comfort.

The task of those who make art is to rebuild what cannot be seen, what helps us to resist evil internally - the soul of cities and villages, the soul of the country, which consists of the souls of those who have lived, are living and will live in it.

The Załoga project brought together artists who have contributed to strengthening the soul of the Ukrainian people. Most of the project's works were created over the past year despite the destruction and chaos, anxiety and fear. And the first presentation of this project in Kharkiv took place after a massive rocket attack, when the city had no heating, electricity or water.

For the Ukrainian audience, especially in war-torn cities, exhibition projects play an energising role. They support faith in the future, nourish feelings that were burned, lost, hidden during the war, and allow these feelings to come out.

In other countries, Ukrainian art speaks about the resilience of people, about finding an image of the horrific events of our time and finding the strength to live in it. People unite to fight, to help and to create. That is why it is so important to act together now, to form conscious communities that are able to look to the future and work on it now.
