We invite you to talk with Roman Minin, a participant of "Artificial Pain" exhibition.
Artist works with monumental art, graphics, photography, objects and installations. He uses VR and AR in his art practice, developing ideas of monumentality through intangible art forms. In 2020 he founded a creative space to work with VR - Minin Art Hub.
Artist uses cultural codes of Eastern Ukraine in his works. He creates his own mythology of the region through legends and life, this mythology in the artist's understanding is data mining symbols of the mining nation.
"Artificial Pain" exhibition presents one of the key works of Roman - "Plan to escape from the Donetsk region. The monumental panel was created in 2011 and, to some extent, was a mirror into the future, as after the start of the war in eastern Ukraine, the work acquired additional meanings.
The work is provided from the collection of Igor Abramovich.
The conversation will take place on March 30 at 18:00 at YermilovCentre.
