How to apply for the PinchukArtCentre 2020 \ Kharkiv

We invite artists to meet with Bjorn Geldhof, art director of the PinchukArtCentre, who will tell you how to fill out an application for the PinchukArtCentre 2020 Award, advise on how best to describe the work that the selection committee chooses when choosing nominees, as well as the importance of participating in the competition for the development of artistic practice. Also within the framework of the event, participants will be able to ask their questions about the Prize and submit their work.

Language of the meeting: English.

Moderator and translator: Alexandra Tryanova, Junior Curator at the PinchukArtCentre.

Similar meetings will take place in Ivano-Frankivsk, Kiev, Lviv, Odessa, Uzhhorod and Chernivtsi. They will run on the basis of the PinchukArtCentre 2020 Award Partner Platforms. The PinchukArtCentre Prize is the first nationwide award for contemporary art for young Ukrainian artists under the age of 35. Applications are accepted at prize.pinchukartcentre.org until May 20, 2019. 20 nominees will have the opportunity to create new works for the exhibition in the PinchukArtCentre, which will take place in 2020. In March, members of the international jury will determine the holder of the main prize in the amount of 250 000 hryvnia and two special prizes - 60 000 hryvnia each. In addition, the winners will be able to undergo an internship in workshops of leading world artists. The holder of the prize of the public in the amount of 25 000 hryvnia will be determined by voting of visitors of the exhibition of nominees of the Prize.
