The opening of the "Audits" exhibition will take place on July 7 at 18:00 at YermilovCentre. The multi-voiced project brought together the work of 42 artists who have been studying at Chekachkov Photo Academy for the past two years. The geography of participants and projects extends beyond Ukraine, reaching Germany and Canada.

"Revisions" form a critical space in which the viewer is confronted with a series of opinions, hints and expressions of authors, each of whom articulated his message in a visual form. Translated from English "revision" - refinement, processing, revision. And photography as a tool for manipulating reality can be something that renews the view of familiar topics like nothing else.

The curators of the exhibition - Roman Pyatkovka and Ihor Chekachkov adhered to the following principles in forming the exposition: not to restrict the freedom of artists either thematically or instrumentally; identify the leitmotif, the semantic dominant of the exhibition.

This time the leitmotif was self-reflection as a revision of the self, a close look at one's own reactions, from which the assessment and reassessment of personal and social phenomena is born. Topics included the study of corporeality and sexuality, the experience of personal experience through the prism of social connections, and observation during forced self-isolation.

Chekachkov Photo Academy is a school of photography in Kharkiv, co-founded by Igor Chekachkov and Roman Pyatkovka. The philosophy of the academy is based on the importance of visual language as an instrument of the artist and on the superiority of aesthetics over technology. The academy teaches courses in art and conceptual photography, has workshops in portrait and analog photography.
